1. Start by tieing the thread on near to the eye of the hook. Wind down to create an even underbody.

2. Stop near the bend of the hook.

|
|

|
|
|
3. Tie on a piece of lamb's wool and tease the fibres out to create a nice tail.

|
|
|
|
4. Tie on three or four pieces of tinsel, shimmer, Krystal flash or similar material.

5. Tie on a piece of cactus fritz and carry on winding up towards the eye of the hook. Wind the fritz round to make a hairy body and catch the end about 8mm down from the eye.

6. Catch on another piece of wool to make a wing, teasing out the fibres as before.

7. Either leave as is or add a plastic head with googly eyes. Tie off and varnish then seal with a two part epoxy glue.
