Lay the end of the thread alongside the shank of the hook. Turn it back on itself and wrap several times around to trap the thread in position.

2. Finishing off: Put the finishing tool over the thread with the bobbin holder at right angles to the shank of the hook.

Rotate your hands 180 degrees apart. This turns the finishing tool and the bobbin holder so that the thread makes a right angled triangle over the eye and the shank of the hook.
