Last night, for example, I went float fishing in the dark, setting a two hook paternoster beneath the float, and it was manic. Had a few mackerel but most of the fish caught whiting and pout – no real size unfortunately but hundreds around. On some casts the float never even came to the surface after casting with a fish on both hooks!

Garfish still around but this won’t last for much longer. Good time to hit the beaches after dark for variety of species.
